Hi there!
I’m Sofia, Mexican wannabe chef and creator of this blog. The whole idea came about during COVID times as I tried to keep busy during weekends and make the most of lock down to develop this passion of mine for cooking. I started small; baking a few things here and there till I finished making whole menus for the family. Together with the ultimate mentor (my mom) every week we would brainstorm and come up with different dishes that combined both her expertise and my thirst to try and come up with new things to cook.
I realized that exploring a foreign country can also be done at home, it is obviously not the same as actually visiting and getting to know another region in the flesh, but it can get at least somewhat close. Any home cook can recreate international street food, therefore my aim is to share delicious recipes that anyone can prepare and most of all enjoy with others.
So, welcome to this little site full of flavor and sass. Hope it inspires you to cook, but most of all, my wish is that it serves as a trigger for celebrating unforgettable moments that sitting around a table while enjoying a good meal can create.
